The famous furniture and interior design gallery ‘Flamant’ is to be found on the breathtaking Place du Grand Sablon. The restaurant inside the gallery is the baby of the gallery, which provides the furniture, and Cosimo Zizza, who is also the owner of another QuellePassion restaurant: Da Mimmo.
However, upon arrival we are welcomed by Maurizio Zizza, who tells us about the seven years spent refining his skills as manager and chef at his brother’s restaurant before the opportunity to open Il Gusto di Flamant came about.
The menu is 100% Italian, from the truffle-based dishes to the grilled meats to the fish. One interesting concoction is the tagliolini which are mixed directly inside a Padano cheese (a top parmesan) in front of the amused customers. « In this way the tagliolini absorb all the flavour of this magnificent Italian cheese, but the pasta must be highest quality, otherwise pieces get torn while we mix them » explains Maurizio.
